To the argument above, it seems to reflect the A.D.D generation which
I say factually. I started using Photoshop when there was only one undo. You had to work smart. I also
used to cut and paste physically to make printing plates. You had to work smart. I think this application
is spot on. It's made by artists. I hate interfaces, menus and other clutter.

I like making the shapes separately, speed is no issue here.

The voice filter is ground breaking.

so much fun.

You have really mastered the microphone tool there... was that mic expand by any chance?
They look fantastic. Could you upload them as a PDF, I would love to have them as a shape collection on my alchemy. :)

Also, Ryan. I will have to agree with the others here. You've asked for something I think really useful but its up to Karl and his team (or however you work Karl XD) to decide what happens to alchemy. He wants us to help with that todo list and by making it open source. Is that not enough?

Question for you, how do you get the bones to come in together as groups?

For example if you draw with the 'Parts' pdf that comes with Alchemy, each little shape gets separated.
Your bones pdf somehow groups the shapes together so they end up being dumped on the canvas in sets.
I notice you are using inkscape?
Anything special you are doing to group them together?

Well I made them out of very closely cropped bmp files, but that's the only thing I can think of.

No special Inkscape settings... I actually got Inkscape just for this and have no idea how to do anything else with it!

from looking at your pdf they are compound paths, alchemy only takes one path at a time, so to make shapes in illustrator live trace your bitmap, then press ctrl+8 to make a compound path (make sure the stroke colour if set to black and the fill colour to nothing). Attached what shapes I've just made, very mechanical.

Thanks tehmeh!

That works!
Nice look you are getting with the 'mechanical patents' - clever way to use google image search too.

I am very sorry, but I have not followed a single word anyone has said about vectors, inkscape, ctrl+8 and pathways. I know all those words, just not in that order

Can someone simplify it for me, I just dont get it! XD
