I've made this but have no idea how to pdf it up for use as a shape for pull shapes? I saved it as a pdf but it didnt make each shape as each shape for obvious reasons I know now.

Ahh, you know what. I want to use these shapes but I dont want to open other programs and vector them in. On another note- Im fairly lazy- or maybe I expect things to be easier. So here is a nice Idea for the next version?

Like photoshop- - Create a Small window, perhaps even a pallet with pre-registered pieces- the option to enlarge a Piece or make it smaller. To rotate' etc etc.
But make it super quick and easy for people to make shapes and store them like a brush customization like photoshop. Just a neat Idea and a quicker way for people to build intresting shapes.

Hi Guys,

Each shape will be interpreted as a single shape, not a 'blob', so they do need to be flattened in another application.
Flash is actually pretty good for doing that.

While this would be a useful feature, it takes quite a bit of time to implement it inside Alchemy. So it is really a question of where to focus our energies. Functionality that can be achieved in another application takes a bit of a back seat to stuff that can't be done in those applications.

Here are some shapes I made from Photoshop brushes. I don't remember who created the brushes, my apologies.

Hey Ndean... Did he just talk to us? or is it my imagination? I think this programmer has basically stated
"Baaawwww, I dont, I cant, I dont want too do it' Its too much hard work.. Bawwwwwwwwww"

Programmers, Jesh, They will always make excuses. You have to damn near kick them in the a$$ to get them to start working.
Dont Complain Just do it Karl. It will save us lazy artists tremendous amount of time from switching back and forth from programe to programe. We are the people demanding the feature' otherwise we will start Alchemy on you about this feature time and time AGAIN!
Do us all a favour make our lives easier. The Real Question Is why Not? Dont give me that lack of statement that you cannot do it, thats unacceptable. Make a add'on. do it, DO IT NOW!

Make a Lasso tool, Copy Paster the object into a Side Bar Feature "Pick your object, Place it on the page". How hard is that? Scroll up and down to find the piece you want dosnt have to be big or nothing- just practicle enough to know what to choose from.

you can either take my advice or take me as an offence your option

eldritch48, Thanks for the cool shapes! Nice work!

Ryan, thanks for your suggestions - I appreciate your passion for this subject!
There is A LOT of things we would like to do with the project - but the reality is that working on Alchemy does nothing to pay our rent at this stage :(
So we can't (as much as we would like to) work on it full time.

Keep in mind this is an open source project where anyone, including yourself, can download the source code, add to it, and contribute.
So if you are really interested in seeing this feature added, then that is one avenue to explore.
Java is quite easy to learn, or you might want to rally up the support of any friends/co-workers who can help out with it.

Right now lazor is helping out with developing a 'History/Undo' feature, so we are quite excited about this:
development/topic6.html

Anyway, if you have some time and would like to help out there is a small to do list here:
development/topic94.html
The biggest thing non-programming thing to do at the moment is to update the online documentation to version 007.
If your interested in helping out with that I can give you that version to try
