Thanks again for that info.
Bare with me while I look into this over the weekend.
I have posted over in the 'known bugs' forum for now.

Hi Guys,

I had a good look at the PDF bugs today and believe I have sorted them out.
Although I could not replicate the bug where the colour changes when the mouse/pen is released, so please download and have a play with this version and tell me how it goes:
http://al.chemy.org/files/Alchemy-007.2-Debug.zip

I have changed the Gradient module to fade between FG colour with a given transparency value and FG colour with zero transparency. This seems to work better - not sure why I didn't do this in the first place!

The problem with the colours being distorted in the PDF was caused by a conversion from RGB>CMYK>RGB when transparent colours were present - this would have occurred on all Adobe software, but after some investigation I found a way to avoid this and the colours look good for me on Adobe Reader.

Please let me know how you get on.

Thanks for the help!

Hey Karl,

I tried a few drawings using the gradient tool tonight, and what I read back from the PDFs matched what I saw in alchemy. Also, that color switching thing with the gradient is gone now that it doesn't use the BG color anymore. So far the gradient seems to be bug free, but who knows.. I might have overlooked something again.

Thanks for that.
I have updated the download on the main page - incase you want to download the non-debug version.
