First Stab at Alchemy!

I just discovered Alchemy, and I have to say, I really do love it for concepting. I'm still getting used to its controlled chaos approach, but I must say just how impressed I am with it.

Thanks! Been really busy lately, but I'm trying to get some personal time in. Otherwise, I think I would go crazy (well, crazier...)

Anyhoo, here's two more. Enjoy (I hope).

For these B&W, I just kind of let my mind enter "cloud" mode and go from there. I really like the organic work flow of going from thumbs to (somewhat) finished.

Here's a quick speed paint I did in Painter from one of the "people" thumbs I did in Alchemy. Gee...I wonder if I'm Asian...

Thanks Karl!

Sorry for the lateness of this reply. This last week was pretty crazy work-wise which didn't much time for anything else. Hopefully, once I recover, I'll post so more.

For the B&W, probably about 30 minutes to an hour on a set. I tend to use them to relax. For the figure paint, about an 1 and half hours.

Cool stuff! - I used to do some excercises similar to this a while back. Makes me want to do some more again. :D

Phew...I've been gone awhile, but I'm back (sort of). First, to wallasaurus, Thanks! Strange enough, it was your previous thread that inspired me to try such exercises in Alchemy. Indeed, if you are interested in a collaborative effort, I'm all for it!

Now, for something new! I had some time, and I wanted to do a nice personal piece. My initial sketches for this were very, very different than the final.
