Flip Canvas

Postby Count_Zero on Mon, 14 Dec 2009 00:37:36 GMT

Hi,
I just discovered Alchemy and I already love the application. I have been struggling for months to find a decent workflow in Photoshop that would allow me to do speed sketching. Now Alchemy does this out of the box, I haven't had so much fun with sketching in a long time.
One thing I am desperately missing from PS though is being able to flip the canvas. When I work in Photoshop I constantly flip the canvas horizontally to check proportions and rhythm in my drawings. It would be great if you could do that in Alchemy, too.
Anyway, keep up the good work, Alchemy is an absolutely amazing application.

Cheers,
Julian

I would like to see that happen also.

I just thought about this. Another way to achieve this would be to expand the "switch bitmap" function to be able to send back the canvas to Alchemy. For instance I could send the canvas to Photoshop, edit the image using all my favorite Photoshop tools and then switch back to Alchemy and "snatch" the image from Photoshop.

Great idea!
I've implemented this for the upcoming version 008 release.

Holy crap, I just realized that flip canvas is implemented in the new version.
Thank you so much! That is a welcome addition to the Alchemy tool set.
