But my one and only problem with this app is the work flow when it gets to exporting to work further in something else. And whilst i love that this app is small and light and think the exporting end needs to be beefed up considerably. I find myself opening pdfs photoshop at 300dpi then saving them and opening them with painter, sometimes with illustrator before that.
And i think you could patch this problem up by making the switch to bitmap bring an image in at 300dpi but i think what would be a better solution is instead of having both switch to bitmap & switch to vector, have an export button, i feel like i should go into detail with what i think would improve this area and right now at this minute i have lots of things better to do but im procastinating so here goes it.
click the export button
alchemy window switchs to export mode
The export mode would be like a wizard with a few steps
the first step would be Select PDF page from session select and then
it changes to export options window
here you have vector / bitmap buttons resolutions and an editable list or icons of a few different apps,
maybe its just me but i constantly find myself switching the apps around
and thats all i can really think of right now, i think its a very strong app and i love the philosophy and lack of control which forces you to play/experiment/colour outside the lines
but i dont see why the end result should be neglected.
anyway sorry if i rambled on there, i think it is important, to the extent that i sometimes think about tying my arm behind my back so i cant undo and using custom brushes in photoshop or painter
