Bitmap vs Vector Confirmation icon + Question

When i go up to Switch > Switch Vector or Switch Bitmap, I don't really know if my selection worked, making me unsure if I'm actually drawing bitmaps or vectors. Also, does anyone know if this converts everything on the canvas to whatever you choose, or if it only affects the new shapes you create?

Hi theantisphere,

You seem to be misunderstanding the function of those menu items. Drawing in Alchemy is always vector based. "Switch Vector" sends the sketch to the vector program you've picked with "Set Vector Application" (eg. Illustrator), and the same sort of thing with Swtich Bitmap (eg. Photoshop).

This mistake is understandable, and you are not the only one to do it.

Maybe we can think about other words.
What about "Switch to Vector Application ..." ?

I think it is not immediately clear what these menus do for first time users. So this is a problem
The idea was that it would be a quick way to continue an Alchemy sketch in another application.

I wonder how many people actually use it regularly?

I propose : "Continue with Vector Application ..." and "Continue with Bitmap Application ..."

i use it all the time in my workflow karl. but then again i use alchemy professionally..
