Tablet has no influence

Platform: Mac OS X 10.5.8
Java: tested with 1.5 and 1.6

When using the "pressure shapes", the pressure on my Wacom tablet doesn't seem to influence the stroke at all.
The tablet is a postcard-size Wacom Graphire 3.


I tried to test this with earlier versions, to see if this is a regression, but got an exception with 005 and 006 on startup...

Java 1.6 will not work at this stage, but can you try download the java tablet library we use and see if that works for you:

The library works fine. Odd that.

I have the same problem on a different machine that was freshly installed with OS X 10.6.

I think they updated the jpen library to support Java 1.6.
We will need to update the library included with Alchemy.
You could try and replace the "libjpen-2.jnilib" file in Alchemy.app/Contents/Resources/Java/ with the newer one found in jPen. It may work...

The JPen library has been updated as of version 008.

i've the same problem but i'm on windows vista, i've a wacom volito² and the pressure working on others programs
