color switching is somewhat erratic

MAC OS 10.5.6 (using Wacom Intuos 3)
I've noticed that the color switching (foreground background swapping) is somewhat erratic.
For example, sometimes when I push the 'x' shortcut, nothing happens. I am not drawing when I push it, and I do not have the color switcher effect activated. It's happens very regularly, and inconsistently. It will work one second, then not the next.
Also, I've noticed that when I switch modules, say between speed shapes and mic shapes, the color palette swaps foreground and background. An example:
I am drawing with speed shapes with black foreground and white background. I swap fore and background colors so now I am drawing in white with speed shapes. I want to switch to drawing in white with mic shapes, and when I activate the mic shapes, my foreground color switches back to black, making it so I have to swap fore and background colors again to be drawing in white.

Thanks for the bug report.

I've noticed that the color switching (foreground background swapping) is somewhat erratic.

The only thing I can think of is something to do with the focused component.
The keyboard shortcut is registered on both the main window and the palette, so it should capture the key input when either is active.
In practice it could be that a popup menu, button or something could be robbing the 'focus' away?
Anything you remember like that?

Hmm... i couldn't replicate exactly what you said, but found that the clear key switches the colours back (from white to black) - is this perhaps what was happening?

I will get on to finding this bug.
Let me move this to the known bug forum...

I believe this bug has been resolved as of version 008.

I just tried it with 0.0.8.1.
Some keyboard shortcuts tend to stop working every now and then, notably “Foreground / Background” and the numbers to switch between Create modules. Mucking around with detaching/reattaching the toolbar seemed to make it work again.
“Erratic” is an apt description.
