Questions/discussion about contributing to Alchemy

layers

I think it would be very beneficial to have an option to save layers, so the selected shapes in the vector are exported as a seperate object, that way they can be manipulated further in post development. I dont know if this is possible for the creators or if it would add too many complications to the program, seeing that the developers wanted to keep it as simple as possible to encourage creative processes.

It is possible to add 'layers' to the PDF so that they come out as layers in Illustrator or similar.
But the only real difference would be a sort of shape grouping if you like.
Depending on how complex your sketches are, have you tried just selecting the shapes in the PDF and breaking them up that way?

I have an Idea how to make it possibly easier to work on the shapes later on. Why not let Alchemy creates the drawn vector graphics on a new layer every time it is set to autosave the current view. (like every 60 seconds, or if you tell it to save the current canvas), so you have one layer for each time period of drawing. This option should of course be possible to disable.
This would be a replacement function of having each time period on a new PDF page, so you have a new page for each Drawing, but multiple layers for one Drawing with the times.

Do you get what I mean? It would clean the PDF up, and make working with it easier if you have long Alchemy drawing sessions.

Please, please, please add layers.
This is not a demand or a request.
I am begging you please. It would make this program
even more amazing than it already is.

Thank you in advance,
