its chinese painter named '水墨' and english name is 'ink-water', i love this effact but no software can paint this effact perfect, i think its crazy, isnt it?

About those illustrations, perhaps the artist programmed a kick ass fluid simulator, but I think he used photo samples of ink drops in water, then composed and painted over in Painter. Pretty much like Andrew Jones uses Alchemy sometimes.
I respect the amount of work people in academia put into such things, but always wonder why they try and 'digitalise' existing 'real'
techniques?
I quite like the work of Cai Guo-Qiang, who uses the burn marks from gunpowder to create patterns on canvas.
