For sure. It is also very messy :)
But on the flip side, there is a pretty big C02 hit from using computers/=& the internet too.
It always seems kinda magical to use Google and get instant search results, but the reality is they have whole warehouses full of servers pumping out heat 24/7 :(

Indeed, the digital world it's quite harmful too, and what is worse, it's too easy to ignore and forget all the "gears" behind it..
As for google, it looks like they are doing a decent work minimizing their footprint, that's better than nothing!

I guess I am interested in, well this project is interested in, exploring the things you can't do in the analogue world. Which means developing something new and native to the digital realm.

You have been successful on that so far :)

Hey directed the opening 'footprints' fireworks sequence to the Olympics actually - you know the one that was not actually broadcast live.

I gotta see that!

its chinese painter named '水墨' and english name is 'ink-water', i love this effact but no software can paint this effact perfect, i think its crazy, isnt it? ;)

using "ribbon shapes" (on shapes); size turned up high; transparency turned way down; spacing = 1; friction and gravity all the way to the left ... i found that that result create a nice smoky effect, similar to the ones in the link. with some mod tweaking, i bet it could be much closer.
