The pressure doesn't work.

You probably get many topics like this.I looked in the older ones but none helped me...
The pressure doesn't work in any version,it just shows the "popular" two paralel lines,like the lineart of a line.

Version: Java 6 Update 20
Operating System: Windows XP 5.1
Architecture: x86
Wacom Bamboo Tablet

Jpen tell me I have a 0.500 pressure all the time. :/ Here's how it looks while I was drawing.

Any idea how to make pressure work?

It looks like JPen isn't finding your tablet.
Your best bet is to post on the JPen site here:

Ok ~ So.I went to their forum and now it's fixed.Jpen can see my tablet and the pressure works but Alchemy still doesn't work.This is how "Pressure Shapes" look to me.

That looks like it is working.
When it is not working there are very thin lines.

try running alchemy using the Windows "Command Prompt" and the following command:

I have not been able to get the pressure option to work in Alchemy. Jpen does work with my tablet as does all of my other programs.. Photoshop and Artrage. When I try to use the cmd line option I get a wall of text but pressure shapes still does not work.

Hey AlvinMiller,

If of jpen is working with pressure sensitivity then you can try the following hack to run Alchemy:

• download and unpack the jpen lib zip: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jpen/fi ... p/download
• copy the jpen-2.jar from the jpen lib to the Alchemy directory.
• rename the Alchemy/lib directory to Alchemy/lib-old and create a new Alchemy/lib directory containing jpen-2-2.dll and jpen-2-2-64.dll from the jpen lib.
• run alchemy using the "Command Prompt" and the following command:

  java -classpath jpen-2.jar;Alchemy.exe -Djava.library.path=lib org.alchemy.core.Alchemy
