some tool menu options unresponsive

Postby psilocyborg on Fri, 02 Apr 2010 20:24:49 GMT

Hi I've been tinkering around with this program a bit lately, and am enjoying the hell out of it, but I've noticed that a couple options don't work or else I'm doing something wrong. I've read the manual .pdf and searched the forums here, but haven't come across anything helpful. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I've tried both the latest full release and the beta. I've also updated Java to no avail.

The problem is this: the View>Load Background Image, Switch>Set Vector Application and Switch>Set Bitmap Application options are all unresponsive. No dialog windows or anything else pop up. Also, the Load Image button under the Trace Shapes tool doesn't work either, while the Download Image button does (however I have particular images I'd like to work with, not the random ones Alchemy pulls from flickr).

If you all need any more info let me, and thanks in advance for the help.

What is the image you are loading? You can load PNG/JPG/GIF. Best not too have *massive* file sizes with this, the same size as the screen is good.

First you need to set the application, more info here:

Do you have the image display turned on?
