seting vector app

When I try to set Photoshop (CS2) to open the alchemy drawings as a vector with the set feature in the menu the program still switches to acrobat reader instead of Photoshop. Sorry if i didn't state all the technicalities correctly, but I just wasn't sure if this switch to reader is normal or not. i seem to remember Andrew Jones being able to load alchemy straight into Painter X through a .pdf, i know Photoshop can load .pdf files from alchemy projects that have been saved, i just cant seem to bring them straight into photoshop from alchemy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, and that's a beautiful program you guys got started, a gift from the brainstorming gods!

i know cs3 works for me.. you might want to update and try it again ( test the trial version out ).

Hi there.

What Andrew does in the video is save a whole bunch of pages to a single 'Session' PDF.
He then opens that in Photoshop manually and that way gets all of that content into photoshop in one go.
You can do that with the Session Menu and the various recording options.

The other way is to 'Switch' the current canvas as a bitmap or vector.

The switch menu allows you to quickly open the current Alchemy canvas in another user-defined application. The idea is to be able to quickly continue working in a more 'conventional' software application without losing the creative 'flow'.

So yeah, first you have to select the application you want to use Switch Menu > Set Vector Application...
Then you Switch it, Switch Menu > Switch Vector

If you have selected Photoshop and it isn't working, let me know what OS and what version of Alchemy you are using.
